Will they still scan me if they can’t feel lump?

Hello

I found a very small lump and I am due to go to the breast clinic tomorrow. It is very deep in and is tiny, and I'm scared they won't be able to feel it and not scan me. I can feel it but I'm feeling it from two places, I'm not sure I'd have noticed it at all if i couldn't "feel" it when between my fingers. Has anyone had a lump before that was v difficult to feel? What happened at the breast clinic? I know something is there so I just want it scanned just in case... but I'm worrying it won't get checked at all

  • Hiya, I don't usually reply to these but I feel I need to since no one else has and I've had a similar experience! For a year now I've had lumps under the skin of my neck and none of my GPs could feel them at all, but after multiple appointments I was referred to maxillofacial simply to "reassure" me there was nothing there when there was, though I feel I must add the doctor could feel my parotid gland, which may be partially why. The specialist at the hospital actually could feel my lumps so I had an ultrasound, so I think if you're seeing a specialist they probably will be able to feel it, but if not and you know there is something there, keep pushing for a scan! Hope all goes well with you xx
