Possible lymphoma

Hi I'm currently waiting for an appointment for a ultrasound scan on a lump on my neck and the wait is driving me mad. I haven't seen my doctor face to face and to be honest they aren't much help so thought I'd put my symptoms on here and see what people think. I have a lump going from just under my right side of my jaw which goes to the back of my head. It's quite big and it's hard, I've lost 11lbs in weight, I'm fatigued, night sweats, wake up with pins and needles in both arms, dizzy, head pains (shooting pains not headaches) drained, hair loss, face puffy on one side, tongue white and scalloped, tight chest and hard to take in deep breaths and just generally feel awful. This has been going on for 12 months but getting worse and the lump I only noticed around 2 months ago. Does this sound like lymphoma? Anyone else experiencing the same? Been waiting around 4 weeks for scan, rang doctor last week and they said the place I was supposed go has shut so they will send the request somewhere else so could still be waiting weeks. Had blood tests all came back normal.
thanks for reading

(sorry for long post)

  • I haven't got much in the way of advice but I also have a lump in the bottom right of my neck towards the back. Went to the GP and they've sent me for a scan which I'm waiting for the appointment for. I also have insanely itchy skin head to toe which has previously been diagnosed as eczema but when you google you just get lymphoma. Waiting is the worst isn't it?

I hope you get your appointment soon

  • Hi both Zoe and Stacey (I'm also called Stacey so this could get confusing with both of us lol)

im going through the same thing at the moment, symptoms not a severe as yours but also experiencing a few you haven't mentioned yourself. I'm being sent for an ultrasound and just dreading the worst at this point.

hope everything turns out okay for both of you, always here if you need a chat.

got everything crossed that all three of us get good news!

  • Hi Zoe, Stacey, and Stacey number 2 ;)

Sorry to hear the reasons for you all using this forum. I have found the support and advice helpful.

I am in a similar situation- many issues spanning from fatigue, dizziness, tight chest and excessive swollen stomach ( I look pregnant with twins most of the time!) Itchy skin and swollen lymph glands in my collar bone neck? Groin area.  Insomnia? Extremely heavy periods, sweats...... and am 44 so suspected peri- menopausal too. I had lining of my womb thickening looked at being removed with laser surgery- but was too thick and couldn't be successfully completed so this is still ongoing and unresolved. Polyps were found and biopsy taken of womb and all were clear- consultant who operated said I would need a hysterectomy as mirena coil would not work with heavy bleeding.....

Gynological consultant disagreed and talked me out if a hysterectomy - to return and attempt coil. Due to covid still awaiting updated appointment for this to be done

..in the meantime due to stomach, neck glands ......

I am waiting for outcome of biopsies from Colonoscopy- 4 weeks ago !

Have a neck scan this Friday for lymph nodes as blood test came back clear or within normal range for thyroid. But high signs of inflammation....

Stress can make everything worse ! As does google !

Hoping all results back so by July will know what is happening with my health !

Wish you all well with your results- stay in touch if you wish too

Stacey!   Xx the 3rd ;) xX

  • Hi!

oh my gosh there's so many Stacey's at the moment with these issues, I think someone needs to warn the rest of them it seems to be a name epidemic

sorry to hear that about your health, it sounds horrible what you are going through and can't imagine the waiting game and back and forth between doctors and ideas to solve it you seem to be doing.

ive finally managed to get a appointment to ultrasound my lymph nodes so fingers crossed it's nothing and I'm just panicking about nothing!

keep us all updated on how things go with you and if it all gets sorted and feel free to send me a message if you need a chat or some advice!

    all the best

    Stacey the 2nd  x
