For the last 6-8 months, I have been having spotting/bloody discharge multiple times in the month. Sometimes after having sex and sometimes just randomly. Obviously, this is concerning me so I went to the doctors a couple of months ago and was told to take three months microgynon back to back, have a break and then continue as normal taking it monthly. I have been on microgynon since I was around 15 but last October decided to try the contraceptive patch, I used it for a month and went back on the pill! Originally I thought that changing my contraception was causing it, but I have been back on microgynon since Christmas and still having problems. I have now done the three months, had my break and have been back on the pill for a week with no problems. However, after having sex tonight I have brown/pink discharge. Whenever I get this it usually goes away the same day. The past couple of months I have also had slight pain/ache in my lower right stomach/pelvis. I am in full panic mode and think I will ring the doctors again tomorrow, I just wanted to know if anyone had experienced similar symptoms to me?? I am 22 so not had a smear before.
