Changes to cervix and high risk HPV

Hi just looking for some positive stories on cell changes and high risk hpv as I'm going out of my mind with worry.

I had a colposcopy about 3 weeks ago as they said there are changes and I have high risk hpv.

I think I have had hpv for a while as I've had wart like things on my cervix for years, the doctor had a look and said everything looks normal so I left it at that.

Now finding this out I'm worried sick that it has progressed into cancer. I have 3 children and I smoke.

But really am stopping smoking and I'm taking shittake mushroom extract capsules as I researched and said it's good for clearing up hpv infections.

I've spoken with my partner and I'm just worrying even if hpv does clear up what if he gives it back to me?

My doctor also found a lump in my breast and I've had swollen lymph nodes all over the right side of my body for 9 years since I had my son, I'm really worrying I've had cancer for years and the doctors have done nothing to find out what is going on. I've been fobbed off so many times.

Just feeling so horrible and like I don't want to be here anymore because the worry is so bad. Positive replies only, I couldn't deal with negative ones, thanks for reading x

  • Hi steph, thank you so much for your kind reply. These phone numbers are good to have as to be honest I felt I couldn't go on the other day. It's just so hard to ease my mind when I don't know the results and exactly what stage the changes are at, she said it looks like low grade changes perhaps to medium but my anxiety is telling me she was lying and it's something bad
