Swollen Lymph Nodes

Hi  everyone, i have just joined the forum as I am going through tests for swollen lymph  nodes in upper parr of the stomach.

It all started with kidney stones which i still have (1 in left side and 3 om the right side). They were detected via CT scan. The Urologist followed this up by a second scan and it was during  this scan that i was informed if swollen NR.

Since than i had blood test - all clear - prostrate   CT scan - all clear - Ultra Sound for testecular cancer - all clear 

However I had another CT scan dine on 1st June 21 - the Urologist called couple a days ago and said lymph nodes still enlarged - normall size is around 1 to 1.2 cm but mine is 1.5 cm

The MDT team has decided that i should have a biopsy which is booked for Thursday  coming.

Like most in here though i never wanted to Google  it i did and what i have read is confusing.

My Swollen Lymph nodes is in the upper part of the stomach - i dont feel it at all and i dont have any classic symptoms  of it. The urologist did say that 90% its not anything siniter or serious but there is that 10% chance of it being something  cancerioud.

Not sure what to make of all this.

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. It's good to hear that a lot of the tests have come back clear and that the specialist isn't too concerned. Of course the biopsy should provide some definite answers so hopefully you won't have too long to wait for the results of that.

    I know it's always tempting to search online for answers but I would encourage you not to do this as the information will likely be not relevant to you and can only increase worry.

    Try to keep yourself busy while you wait and as I say I hope you find out more soon.

    Hi Ben, thank you for responding and support. It is very much appreciated.

    Yes, i should be avoiding Dr Google but i could not contain myself. 

    I think the fact that one has to wait for all this tests and then having to wait days for the result is more stressful than reading Dr Google.

    My biopsy is on thursday and than the wait !

    Hi there, I registered to reply you. I have swollen lymph nodes on both sides of my neck and groin (here I have for a few years already), I decided to check myself at the hospital because of these neck ones and so far I've done a CT scan, chest X-Ray, groin lymph nodes biopsy and most recently a bone marrow biopsy, I'm waiting for results now.

    So far all my blood tests are ok and I don't have any other symptom, although I lost a little bit of weight in the recent weeks but for sure this is because of the stress I am now.

    Hi  MMSV, thank you so much for your ur response. 

    Like you I do not have any of the classic symptoms hence i feel a bit more stressed. The fact that the enlarged nymph nods is in the stomach is also a concern as i cant see or feel it to monitor if its getting bigger or firmer etc.

    I pray your results come out all negative.
