  • Hi James, after reading your post I think I can identify with some of your symptoms, I am having a lot of similar ones myself, am going through a bit of a health scare at the moment and a lot of these symptom are severe anxiety and stress.I read all the tests you had and I'm sure if there was anything wrong it would have been picked up on.could you ring your doctor and explain how your feeling he may be able to put your mind at rest.

  • Hi Patricia and thank you for your reply. My doctor feels I am suffering from severe anxiety but because it's 24/7 a day it's really worrying and that's another thing they said you worry about late stage cancer there would of definitely been something that shows up from the tests. It's just worrying because my whole body is not working

  • I feel the same anxiety as well, I fall asleep and then wake up and it hits me again and I can't shut my mind off. I am trying to stay positive but am waiting for more tests, in the meantime every little niggle I get I think its something bad. I hope you get some peace of mind from your doctor and I'm sure anything bad would of shown up long ago x

  • I've spent thousands on private as getting desperate but they said wouldve showed by now doc wants to refer me to physiatrist but it's not my mental health it's my physical. What symptoms do you have?

  • Hello James,

Im so sorry you're feeling so unwell. It's good you've had some  tests done. Clearly anxiety about this is also not going to help. I'm not a medic but looking at a couple of things on your list  I wonder if you've had your thyroid checked? Another thing I'd ask your GP about  is vestibular neuritis which can have some of your side effects mentioned above. There are other things like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or maybe something viral that has left you with this feeling of being unwell. All these things are very treatable.

I do hope you get to the bottom of it. Take some time to relax if you can and rest and recouperation can help massively. Just give your brain some time to stop thinking and worrying and then some symptoms may subside and you might get a clearer picture of what is going on.

wishing you all the best and hope that you feel better very soon.

  • Thank you so much for your reply. I will defo ask on Monday as I feel it is something sinister but keep getting told it is not. I have had a thyroid function blood test which came back normal. It just literally have no energy it doesn't matter what I eat

  • Hi james, I feel I can sympathise with many of your symptoms. I have lump in throat feeling, ear pain sometimes, stomach pain, chest pain, back pain, tiredness etc. I am doing better, I was suffering really bad with insomnia but I seem to be sleeping better. I have been waiting 4 months for a scan to check my neck but so far, I've not heard anything. I was put on acid reflux meds and they think it could be Globus sensation but I also have one tonsil bigger than the other. I was also given antidepressants two weeks ago and that has definitely helped.

  • Thank you for your reply and sorry to hear you're going through all this. Do you feel refreshed from sleeping or are you constantly tired with hazy feeling?

  • Mental health and especially health anxiety can present with physical symptoms and be vague. Speak to the GP

    have they tested for fibromyalgia?

  • Hi there thank you for reply in terms of blood tests I had thyroid function test, vitamin D level, serum ferritin, liver function test, urea and electrolytes, bone profile, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, differential white cell count, full blood count - all normal.

I got off the phone to my gp few hours ago and he said I don't know what more I can do it's so worrying.
