Possible Testicle Cancer

Hi - Brand new poster....

Ever since i was a child (now 34) - my right testicle was smaller than my left, and became painful from time to time. i remember as a child visiting the doctor to get him to look at it.

Throughout my youth and adult life, the tenderness has come and gone in waves. I do lots of weight training etc and always thought it may be that.

I also had a little boy who is coming on for two.

A couple of months back the tenderness came back and i monitored it. We have never at any point found any lumps.

I had a docs appt 2 weeks ago, he felt the testicle and again could find no lumps and reassured me. I was booked for an ultrasound to be sure though.

Today, i had a call saying there was a mass right in the centree of the testicle which he suspects may be cancer. My whole world fell down. Im sure he mentioned 1.3mm?

Im now waiting for a biopsy......

I do have lower back pain buit that has always been there as a result of gym work so ive no idea if it is linked or not.

I dont have any blood tests booked which i found strange so il get come booked tomorrow.

Im really concerned, but find it strange how the pain has been off and on all these years and we never felt any lumps - yet here i am being told to prepare for cancer - i just dont get it.

Anyone else had anything similar? im going out of my mind with worry now waiting for biopsy and bloods etc - its really scary - and so surprisoing considering ive been working and weight training luike a madman and feeling otherwise great........

  • Hello Steh

I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting on a biopsy at the moment for possible testicular cancer. It's obviously a very worrying time for you and it's understandable that you're feeling anxious and concerned about things.

We have had members post here on the forum to share their experiences with testicular cancer and hopefully, some of them will reply to your post. However, I'd really encourage you to talk things through with one of our team of nurses. I'm sure they'd be able to give you some advice and support ahead of your biopsy. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Steh and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
