Waiting for biopsy results

Hi all

This is my first time posting... I think I'm going mad! I had a biopsy on a lump in my right breast last week... It's 11mm and deep inside the breast, no pain or anything else symptoms wise but I've jumped straight to the worst case scenario! I don't hear anything until the 15th and it's driving me crazy... Crying one minute... Screaming at my partner and daughter the next. I don't think I've ever been this scared!

Any coping advice would be greatly appreciated x

  • Hi all,

Same here. Went to the GP with a lump about the size of a pea, doc was pretty confident that it was a cyst but referred me because of family history. My breast clinic appointment was last week and it is not a cyst and has more than doubled in size, so they took a core biopsy there and then and gave me a mammogram. I'd been to the clinic before but needing a biopsy has been quite a shock (I'm in my 20s). I don't know when my results appointment is yet and I've got other relatives who are also undergoing diagnostics for different things just now, so every day is a whirlwind of emotions!

I'll be thinking of you all. x

  • Hi lovely....

    Aww bless you.

I'd never been to the clinic so it was all a shock... Biopsy especially (it's not the best afternoon out!)

I got my results appointment in the post so just be on the look out... They're pretty good I think at keeping you in the loop.

Sending loads of love and positive vibes to you and your family xxx
