Hope this helps

Hi I'm totally new to this site and have never posted on anything like this before- excuse if a bit long winded but wanted to share my experience as I have been on several forums recently looking for - well reassurance I guess.   Back in 2008 my husband was diagnosed with Hodgkins - he had found a lump in armpit- went through  standard treatment- unfortunately  follow up scan revealed the cancer still there - more tests  _ bone marrow etc and the diagnosis was changed to nh lymphoma - we were devastated - anyway he then went on to have stem cell transplant (his own stem cells) all went well and finally get the all clear .  Fast forward to February this year a visit to GP with mild urinary problems and following various tests diagnosed with prostate cancer / luckily very slow growing and early so he's on watchful surveillance. However during his tests it was noted he had some enlarged lymph nodes in the pelvis - nit related to prostate.  Due to his history of course it has to be investigated- so another biopsy - to say the whole experience has been stressful is an understatement and my anxiety has been through the roof - mainly because of covid everything has taken so much longer. Finally yesterday the phone call we have been waiting for - all is clear and good and we can breathe again.  So for anyone out there going through this awful wait for a diagnosis- I know how difficult and stressful it is but there are positive outcomes for lots of people - my husband has been told given the length of time since treatment it would be unlikely to come back now which is great to know and as for the prostate - they will do checks every 3 months and if and when he needs anything doing we will deal with that then but we have been assured it can be dealt with - so I'm sorry for the ramble but if our story can help just one person I would be very happy - love and best wishes to you all
