Solid small lump on cervix

Hi everyone.

So I have a small lump on my cervix. I've had many after giving birth but they were always nabothian cysts which come and go. I first noticed this one more towards the inside of the cervix and it was fairly tiny, this was almost 2ish years ago. Recently it felt bigger, about the size of the ball of top of a straight pin but no bigger. It's solid, not like cysts which have some give when pushed. It doesn't move under the skin and is round.

I had some irregular bleeding when my periods came back but discovered this happened mid cycle, always a day before i ovulate and never after sex. I went for a smear test but they just tested for HPV which came back negative and the Dr said my cervix looked fine. This was shortly after my period when the cervix is more closed and the lump less noticable however. I don't have any bleeding after sex or any other issues, no weird discharge or smells. I have had a yellowish discharge this month but again it was the day before ovulation and returned to normal afterwards.

I was wondering if maybe it's a polp? Which I've never had before.

Has anyone else found a small lump that's been there a long time but isn't a nabothian cyst, something more hard?

I have trauma after my birth so it's hard to keep going back to the Drs and it always eases my mind if I have an idea beforehand of what to ask or say so reading replies helps me.

  • Hi RogueWolfe,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can see you have posted in our 'Ask the nurses' section so I won't try to give any advice in particular here as you should receive a reply from them soon and I'm sure they'll be able to offer some support.

Following that hopefully you will feel prepared to speak to your doctor if you need to, as they will be best placed to advise on your situation.

    Wishing you all the best,
