Hi

I have been having acid reflux for about 4 years or so. Worse at times than others but could be scary when I would be woken unable to breathe after inhaling the bile!

6 months ago it started to get worse but medication increase and a few changes kept things at bay until about 2 months ago when I then started to also have some issues swallowing - mainly my medication.(for other health issues!)

GP decided would be a good idea to have endoscopy which I had about 7 weeks ago. They told me at the time there were areas of inflammation so they took some biopsies but also wanted to repeat the endoscopy 6 weeks later. 

4 weeks ago I had a letter saying the biopsies showed an abnormality so they had brought the repeat endoscopy forward and also were arranging a CT scan of the thorax, abdomen and pelvis. 
i had the repeat endoscopy 3 weeks ago.They took a further 8 biopsies including from the gastro-oesophageal junction. I then had a CT scan 2 weeks ago.

Thursday I received a call from the hospital, telling me the consultant wants to discuss the results face to face.

That is tomorrow - I am expecting to receive news I don't want to get!
