I saw the Dr who said that she felt thickening and a lump.

She has referred me for mammogram as urgent, but said the 2 week wait is now 6 weeks due to covid. We live on a small island and only one hospital.

I really dont know how to feel right now. I am kind of relieved that its not in my immagination, but scared at the same time, if that makes sense.

Has anyone else had thickening and a lump? if so how did you get on?

I can understand that the referral, and the length of the wait, will make you worry or think the worst , but this can end up increasing anxiety and affect your wellbeing. You can read more on urgent referrals here which I hope will be reassuring.

Thank you Anastasia. It's just a worry, my mind is all over the place... convincing myself it's fine then convincing myself it is cancer!! Can't win honestly.
I am sure the rollercoaster of emotions is normal and expected, I think I would just like to know sooner rather than later and deal with it from there.
