Anaesthesia

I am possibly going to have an operation after being found with a thickened womb lining, apart from being terrified of this diagnosis and barely able to function properly I am now stressing about being put to sleep for an operation, my fear is not waking up again  from the surgery. Any advice or help with my fears would be appreciated. Thankyou.

  • Hello Patricia67,

You should to contact your doctor about your concerns for the operation. They will be able to make sure you are comfortable and fully prepared for anaesthesia so they'd be the best person to speak to. I can understand that you would be worried and that can take over sometimes, so it's important to look like after you wellbeing, Mindfulness might help to focus away from those worries.

    Best wishes,
