Stuck Together Lymph Nodes

Hello,

So, I have had a lump in the left side of my neck for a few years and I have always been dismissed by the doctors about it. However, today, I finally had an ultrasound on neck and under my jaw. The guy said the lump (under 1 inch) were two lymph nodes stuck together and that I can feel them as I have a skinny neck (lol). He also mentioned that the lumps under my chins were my glands and that it wasn't nothing to be worried about. Nothing has been biopsied. However, from what I found online, the joined together lymph nodes mean cancer.

Has anyone has anything similar and can give me some advice? Should I be really worried or is it perfectly normal? I am going to speak to my doctor on Monday. I am going to try to enjoy my birthday tomorrow...

Thanks

  • Hi Abbi,

Hope you had a good birthday. I can understand this must all be unsettling but try to trust what the specialists say. It sounds as if you'll be getting results from the ultrasound soon which should provide some further information and hopefully reassurance. It's not possible to diagnose from looking things up online, as what you find can often be irrelevant and not specific to you.

I hope it has also been helpful if you were able to speak to your doctor today.

    Wishing you all the best,
