I am so sorry to post something so silly on her but i am really confused.

I have had symptoms of Bowel Cancer for a little while now, Weight loss, Low Iron, Blood in stool, right sided tummy pain, severe diareah etc and the Dr has made a "urgent " referral to endoscopy. Can anyone tell me if there are two types of referral?  My Dr tells me that this is the only type of urgent referral and it should be quick, his receptionist said it should be 2 weeks; but the endoscopy unit tell me that it wasnt a 2 WW referral and therefore can be anywhere upwards of 26 weeks as they have a backlog of patients - i am so stressed some days i go to the toilet 16 - 20 times and can barely function! 

I have already had a Sigmoidoscopy and they told me all my symptoms were due to piles, although they are getting progressively worse.
