WORRIED ABOUT BREAST CANCER/LUNG CANCER

I am worried that I might have breast cancer that has metastasized

I had always lumpy breast which doctors found to be benign but are painful and I have been told that pain isn't a sign of cancer, but the pain has steadily grown in intensity and now I have shortness of breath, hoarseness, fatigue, mild fever which have been going on for 3 weeks. I've also noticed that my upper abdomen has bloated up bigger than it used to be.

I used to be a cigar smoker, smoking one cigar per week. I don't drink but I don't exercise either

I am 56, female, overweight but has never had a history of breast cancer nor any of my family member

Please help.

  • Hello Shisha

I'm sorry to hear that you've some ongoing concerns about your breasts and other symptoms.

You don't mention if you've spoken to your GP about these issues recently. If you've not been in touch with your GP then please do give them a call to discuss your concerns as they will be best placed to support you with finding out the cause.

I hope things settle and improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,

  • Thanks much Jenn

I've already seen my GP and she has recommended that I see a breast specialist for a mammogram next week, and I'm a little worried

Will definitely come back here to discuss the result

    Thanks again
