Swollen lymph node?

Hello, I’m 26years old and I have had what I think is a swollen lymph node for a year and a half maybe two years? 

I have just had a baby so have had regular bloods done over the past 9months so I’m guessing that it would have been pointed out to me if something was wrong?

i have three kids now, the lump hasn’t bothered me at all but I thought I should get in checked out? I’m making an appointment on Monday (it’s 2am Sunday) but anyone had this and it’s been a positive outcome? 

The lump moves, I have no symptoms otherwise, bout the size of a two p coin, hard with no pain. You can also see it if I lean my head to one side.

    Hi,

    I've had the exact same thing since last year and it came with some bizarre symptoms that seemed to match up with lymphoma so I was terrified; however mine had appeared recently and was growing so they booked me for an urgent ultrasound and CT scan- the ultrasound tech just said they looked normal and no biopsy was needed and didn't care to give an explanation on why my lymph nodes had turned into a hard lump which was making me sick, I then had a ct scan but this was about 3 months ago and I still haven't had the results but they took my case down from emergency without telling me so I'm guessing it's not cancerous? (I honestly think the way this whole thing has gone is enough for a pals complaint its wasted a whole year of studying and I've had to switch degrees because of it)

    One thing my gp theorised is that because I had covid it caused them to inflame and just stay like that, so if you've had covid or a similar illness or mono in the past this could be an explanation, but I'd say go to your gp anyway to make sure- just be prepared to wait around for months as well though :/ if they ignore you though definitely press them

    Hi Carliesaszkia,

    A very warm welcome to our forum. First of all, congratulations on the birth of your baby. Lymph nodes can swell up with any minor infection annd, although most settle down again, not all do. Some people are left with the swelling long term, even though there is no cancer present.

    It is just as well to make an appointment with your GP, if only for your own peace of mind, as it is impossible to confirm or rule out anything sinister until some tests are carried out.

    Hi Stellajay,

    I am sorry to hear about your experience. Your GP should have had the results of your CT scan. If not, ask him/her to chase them up. I sincerely hope that all remains well.
