Hi all, I hope you are all keeping well. I'm wondering if anyone can help.
Since December time I have been having mucus in stools, sometimes it seems more white colour, sometimes more orange. I very rarely have a regular bowel movement, maybe once a week, the rest of the time it is small hard lumps.
I had stool samples and blood tests done in December/January and all came back fine. Symptoms continued and asked the doctor for help and they said it could be IBS and to try and monitor foods and what could be a trigger.
I called them last week as was still having the same symptoms and he gave me some sachets for constipation and said to call back if not any better (literally felt like he was in such a rush to get me off the phone and really didn't care).
Then on Thursday, I had blood on my stool, it was a fairly regular bowel movement but looked covered with blood. Then this morning I went to the loo and had a small hard bowel movement (tiny) which was covered in orange mucus... The doctors are ringing me on Tuesday. I don't feel like I have any other symptoms, maybe some occasional tummy ache.
I'm terrified. I feel like the doctors haven't helped me at all and I don't know what else to do.
I am a 31 year old female...no real history of health problems...I was adopted at birth so no clue of family history.
Can anyone help in terms of my symptoms?
Thanks so much for reading.
