Just thought I'd post to see if anyone has experienced anything like this.

I have had my 3rd yearly smear due to having positive HPV results and again it was found with no cell changes, while on a phone call with the Dr 3 weeks after my smear I had asked by any chance were my results back he has told me again I was hpv positive with no cell changes. I had asked that after 3 yearly smears an hpv still present if they were wanting me to get a colposcopy, he had told me no and that was my result. Now today 7 weeks after my smear and not receiving my smear result letter at all I have had a letter saying I need to go for a colposcopy and that an appointment letter will be sent to me. Im very confused as my Dr gave me the results 4 weeks ago and this letter was dated 2 days ago. Just looking for abit of reassurance I guess and obviously confused on why this letter has only just been sent when my results were back a month ago. Thanks
