Anal lump

Hi all, I recently had a bad ache in my back passage which I have had  a few times in the past but after this recent episode the following day I could feel a lump near anus about grape size which was above and below skin. The lump is not painful and I have not had any bleeding from it and its now been around 2 weeks with no change . I have been using Anusol for around 10 days but still no change . I have read that it could be an anal hematoma. 
Any advice would be appreciated

    Please do get it checked. It is likely nothing but my friend who had had piles for a number of years preumsed she had piles again but it was unfortunately cancer. However she did have other symptoms such as severe weight loss and a lump in her groin. Like i say - i'm sure it's nothing but better to get it checked if anything to put your mind at rest.
