Hello, I'm just looking for someone to talk to please or abit of reassurance ️ I'm just so incredibly anxious right now and perhaps I shouldn't be posting here as absolutely nothing has been confirmed, I don't want to seem like I'm overreacting or something.

Basically over a week ago I noticed a lump in my neck above the Adam's apple, I didn't think much of it at first but I thought it would be best to get it checked out. After seeing a doctor last week at my GP I was given an urgent ultrasound referral and ever since then I've been in quite a state of worry. When I Google my symptoms or look at what's associated with, it almost completely relates to thyroid cancer. It's a large unmovable, hard lump which is painless above my Adam's apple. If it was an inflamed thyroid, I would have some symptoms, difficultly swallowing etc, or it would have atleast reduced in size but unfortunately it hasn't ️ This has led me to worry greatly.. I'm sorry to sound like if I'm attention seeking or anything like that, I'm only 21 and wouldn't feel comfortable talking about it with someone I knew personally.
