Hi my mum is postmenopausal and back in Feb started bleeding, doctor gave her antibiotics and that didn't work so she had Bloods done, CT scan on kidneys and a camera up her vagina, they then sent her a letter to have CT scan on the chest. Which she has on Wednesday, and then a face to face meeting with someone at the hospital on the 8th June.
Iam guessing it's kidney cancer due to the. Checking her chest - they normally do that to check if it's spread.
Now December 2018 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, 2019 she had a mastectomy, cheomtherapy and radio therapy, that all finished September 2019, surely they would have spotted this back then when she had all the CT scans and bone scans?
She is panicking as she don't want any more chemo, which I've told her even if it is cancer they don't do chemo for that.
Is it more then likely kidney cancer? I just can't understand why they would do a CT on kidney then 2 weeks later want to do one on the chest.
Thanks
