Hey everyone,

I wanted to post on here because I've been having some confusing symptoms and would like some advice.

I've been having diarrhoea for the past 2 days (day 1 was no texture just water and today was a bit soft but still not normal) mixed in with a dull ache in my tummy that just sits there all day. I ate some takeaway food the day before which also gave my wife the same symptoms so I'm thinking it might be that.

as a back story I had bad tummy issues about 5 years ago which warranted several investigations including stool samples, anemia test and a colonoscopy which all came back normal except a tiny polyp that was destroyed.

Since then I've been pretty good with no chronic issues until last night. I don't. Want to google these symptoms because I'm finding myself in a rabbit hole. 
 

my question is for anyone with ibs is it normal to not have a flare up for many years and then randomly it just happens? Also since I had the colonoscopy and was told "strongly suspect diagnosis of ibs" would they need to do another one?

I realise this is all for the dr to answer but it can take a long time to get an answer.
