Hello,
I've spent a few hours reading through threads and reading everyone's experiences.
I found a lump in my right breast a month or so ago, I had a telephone consultation with my GP last Monday and she urgently referred me for a scan given my mum previously had breast cancer at age 50.
I was given an appointment for last Thursday, the consultant initially said he thought it was more prominent breast tissue but wanted to get an ultrasound done just in case. I immediately had the ultrasound and the good news is that the lump I felt was indeed normal breast tissue, however whilst doing the scan the radiographer found another area which caused concern. It was such a blur that I can't quite remember what she said she'd found but she wanted to do a biopsy to investigate further. She said that whatever they'd found didn't look like the structure of a cyst. Given Covid protocol, I was all alone so experienced the biopsy all on my own. I've got an appointment tomorrow to get the results and I'm so worried. The only hope I'm holding onto is that the consultant said whenever they find what they found in my breast, they always do a biopsy - I hope that's a good sign? Maybe?
