Hi All,
I have been reading posts on here for quite sometime and thought I would post my own issues to see if I can get some sort of comfort/advice as I've hit a brick wall.
For the third year running I have had a repeat issue with prostatitis which really took my feet away this time, in the mist of this I noticed some bleeding/mucus in my stool and it changing everyday. I spoke to my GP who said that's to do with Prostatitis so don't worry. Spoke to Urologist a few days later and we got chatting and he then said that's not the case and you need that checked out urgently.
12 weeks later, I'm still suffering with spotting of blood and a hell of a lot of mucus in my still, the stool being very compacted and painful To pass, a abdominal pain on the upper right side that doesn't go away and worse when getting plugged up, yellowing around my eyes, dehydration, nausea/dizziness, fatigue etc but the best I can get from my consultant is a ultrasound in 3 months time.
Now, I have had multiple blood tests to check liver, blood etc and all fine, flexible sigmoidoscopy which was fine (colonoscopy was overturned), multiple US's and this weekend just gone, a private US on full abdomen and all back ok. Next up is either a CT or MRI scan which I'm going to pay for because I can't wait any longer for the lack of support in getting.
I feel like because im 31 and in relitavly health shape, im not being taken seriously.
The pain in my upper right hand side of my abdomen is accompanied by swelling and is very uncomfortable with a noticeable lump when breathing in. I've been off work for 12 weeks now with this and now on SSP. Being the sole income to the house, it's quite a worrying time!
I just don't know who to turn to as every GP I've spoken to doesn't really want to get involved and my consultant takes 3/4 days to reply.
Thanks for taking your time to read (if you have made it this far)
