Neck lump, unusual bruising

I noticed a small neck lump (around 5mm) on the left side of my neck around 3 weeks ago. I found it because I experienced a neck ache/stiffness. I contacted a GP, and they were due to call me on Thursday to assess the lump again. I had a blood test today, which I thought was to check for iron deficiency, but I found out today, that they're also checking for lymphoma and leukaemia. I'm very concerned, especiallly as I've found a second lump on the same side of my neck (about 1cm). I also have tiny red dots on my skin (which I think have been there for years), and I've had 5 bruises over the past few weeks, including one on my hand and one on my foot. They have disappeared now, but I still have 3 bruises on my legs. Very, very worried and would appreciate anyone's thoughts.

  • Hi, 987, I've experienced the stiffness and neck ache. A month ago I suddenly found large fluid lumps under the skin either side of my neck at the collar bone. Extremely exhausted, to the point got sent home from work at primary school and was off for the rest of the week. You mentioned tiny red dots on your skin... I'm the same - had them on the sides of my neck for a few years. I visited the walk-in centre 30th April who requested my GP for urgent blood tests. Next day contacted 111 as also experiencing a sudden outbreak of exzema. Out of ours doctor told me she would contact my GP too as I had already tried getting a doctors appointment for 2 weeks to no avail. Nothing for a week and still enlarged lymph nodes. I wrote a begging letter to my doctors for an appointment and paperwork to get my bloods done. Told it would not guarantee appointment. Took a friend with contacts to get another doctor to call me then contact my GP to urge bloods for lymphoma. Friday morning a doctor called me and made appointment for the afternoon. I was examined and told ultrasound appointment required also urgent bloods, which were taken today. As for bruising...wow ive so many! bruised badly just from a little knock ... the doctor even asked where they had come from?

I've recently paid for intolerance tests, with extremely upsetting results, to the point I'm virtually intolerant to every food drink, pollen etc. Maybe I shouldnt have but after researching all the food bands I'm intolerant actually eventually link to lymphoma!! I'm worried sick... though no-one knows!, I'm a single mum of 3 & self-employed. I'm just praying this is just my body in shock fighting a virus!
