Hi I'm a 20 y/o female wondering about what's going on...

For a little over a year I've been having these lumps behind one ear flare up and then go down. I went to the GP the first time this happened, got blood tests and heard nothing more of it. I'm guessing no news is good news.

Recently they've been coming back but this time leaving this side of my head quite sensitive and a bit painful. There seems to be no correlation between it happening when I'm sick or anything, it just occurs randomly and then goes back down after a while.

I've got a dr appointment tomorrow but just wondering if anyone's had any similar experiences? Should I be more worried than I am? I'm trying not to think about it and staying away from google as I understand it's completely out of my control but just wanting to hear from others.
