Aching pain in both legs

Hi,

I have had an aching pain in both legs for about 3 weeks now. It started in my left leg and will move to different areas of the leg, sometimes the under thigh, sometimes the top of my thigh, or my calf, foot or buttocks. The pain then moved to the right leg and moved around the exact same. I now always have pain in my legs, sometimes right, sometimes left, sometimes both. It is an aching pain and isn't affected by excersize and doesn't get better with sitting or laying down.

Has anyone has anything similar?

I have been drs and a&e but have only had blood tests, urine tests and a stool sample, all which were clear. My Dr has sent off a pelvic smear, I will get the results and then are to go back to my gp in about 3 or 4 weeks time to discuss further.

I am such an anxious person and this whole thing started whilst I was stressed out over a lump I found in my breast, I have had the all clear for that thankfully.

  • Welcome to the forum Shephard although I'm sorry about the pain you've been experiencing in your legs.

Hopefully some of our members who have contended with similar issues will get back to you soon but in the meantime, I'll have my fingers crossed the pelvic smear test results bring good news.

The wait is always tough but I hope these tips will help until you find out more.

  • Thank you for your reply,

The pelvic smear came back as normal, I am getting more bloods took next week and then will be back to the gp to discuss again.

The pain seems to be moving around, still on my legs and buttock, but more focused on buttock now than my legs, its also occasionally on my lower back and across my pelvis. Looking forward to hopefully getting some answers soon, in the meantime I'm working on calming my mind!

  • Hi there, I have had similar to this! Did you ever get to the bottom of it? Thanks

  • Hi Hannah and welcome to the forum.

I noticed you were hoping to hear back from Shephard.

Unfortunately this discussion hasn't been active in over 3 years so there is a chance you may not get a reply.

I really hope that won't be the case, but if you don't get a response, then do feel free to reach out to others on more recent discussions you find about this topic on the forum or by starting your own discussion.
