Neck lump and abnormal blood tests

I have what seems like a swollen lymph node in the left side of my neck for 10 months now, nearly 11.  No illnesses or infections that I know about.  I do have Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder and a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia but this woudln't present anything on blood tests.  Blood tests done in November were normal, and my GP just said it would likely go away on its own.  But now its May and its still there and gotten bigger.  Its now about the size of a cherry.  They did another lot of bloods which have come back with elevated Serum C Reactive Protein (10mg) and elevated Erithrocyte Sedimentation Rate (20mm/hr).  My GP has ordered an urgent ultrasound on a 2 week referral but the hospital have messed up the appointment and I'm still waiting for a date at the moment.  Getting myself worried that this could be something serious like lymphoma.  Anyone else have symptoms / results like this?

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. The waiting alone can be stressful and now that the hospital messed up the appointment doesn't help matters, does it?

Hopefully you will hear from others here on the forum who have been in a similar situation.

Also, please know that our friendly team of nurses would be happy to take your call if you feel that speaking with someone medically trained might help. They're available on this phone number 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    Best wishes,
