I've had a hard round pea sized lump inside my left cheek for around 6 months. I was originally told during a phone appointment with the doctor back at the beginning of the year that it was a blocked saliva gland so didn't give it much more thought. In the last few weeks I've become more aware of it and have had other symptoms including jaw pain and low grade ear ache, slightly raised lymph nodes under chin and under ear. I want to the doctor and was sent for an ultrasound last week. They have told me I need to have a biopsy because the lump is solid which has really worried me that it might be cancer. I'm 44 and smoke and drink socially. I'm hoping it's just a fybroma but from the photos I've looked at it doesn't look mine which is not pertruding out for the cheek it is within the skin tissue. I have also noticed another much smaller lump behind the larger one that is new. Can anyone give me any insights or reassure me that lumps like this are common?
