MRI RESULTS OVER PHONE

Hi,

I had a mri on 17th of April which was a follow up due to likely benign tumours found on last mri in December. I chased up my results after three weeks and have being told I am going to have a telephone consultation on the 18th may does it usually take this long for bad news? And would they tell you over the phone? Last time it was just a letter then a follow up phone call two months later to arrange follow up mri?

    Best of luck for your phone appointment on the 18th. I am not sure myself whether it would be standard to tell someone bad news over the phone and so much has changed recently too with covid, so try not to draw any kind of conclusion from the fact they will be giving you your results over the phone. I don't think it means anything in itself but you did well to chase up your results.

    I keep everything crossed for you that everything turns out to be fine!
