FIT & blood in stool

Hi - I've been losing a lot of blood from my backside. A&E confirmed no piles etc. Went to dr and they tested for chrons etc and it all come back negative. Been referred for FIT test. Someone at work suggested I inspect my poop. Turns out there's a fair amount of blood in my actual poop. I'm now stupidly worried. I know it could be fissures but it's hard not to think the worst.

any help is appreciated

  • Hello Worriedadult_12,

It's such a stressful time for you and I hope that you get some answers soon. It looks like they have ruled out piles and Chron's disease and I hope that the FIT test will shed some light on what is going on. It's good you noticed that there is blood in your stools and this is something you should mention to your doctor if you haven't done so already.

Hopefully it won't be long now until you get some definite answers and I am keeping everything crossed for you it all turns out to be nothing too concerning.

    Best wishes,
