i didn't take anymore with me to my first appointment,(wish I had as they told me it was high likely I had breast cancer but would need the biopsy results to determine which, I  took my husband with me when I went back for the biopsy results

I went on my own for my first app. It was all just examinations and tests. I didn't see the consultant during the first visit. My letter said no - one should accompany me. This was due to COVID though!

When I booked my results app for two weeks later I was told that even though restrictions were technically in place 'due to COVID' that I should bring someone with me. I took a friend yesterday. 
 

I was totally fine attending the first app on my own. I don't think anyone can go into treatment/test rooms anyway. And if you have a biopsy you will need to go back for results anyway.

My partner sat in our car when I had my biopsy but I was told he was allowed in when I went back for results. He came with me and there was a lot of information so glad he did. 

I've had surgery and go back next week for the results and next stage treatment however he is not allowed in this time. The nurses apologised they fought to get permission for 1st app but that's all they were allowed.

I don't understand,  my 1st apts in Dec 2020 I went on my own, had needle biopsy and other tests 

I heard nothing for 8 month, then a call to see consultant. I was allowed to take a friend.I had surgery to remove lump 3 days later.

It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since my opp and i have an appointment to go back for my results and to take a friend. Ask , again, hope you can take someone with you, we all need someone with us xx hugs , hope you don't go on your own xx
