post hemithyroidectomy recovery

I had a hemi-thyroidectomy to remove a thy3 u4 nodule. I am still awaiting results. It has been just over 2 weeks now since the op and my voice (although works well) tires really easily after around 45 mins of conversation and my throat then feels really sore...which is a problem because I deliver talking therapy as a profession full time!....anyone else able to say how many weeks their voice returned to normal functioning .....??

Hi. I had a complete thyroidectomy and neck dissection. I would say it was 6-8 weeks before my voice completely returned to normal functioning, probably more like the 8. I went back to work as a teacher after 4 and a half weeks and it was fine most of the time, but I couldn't really make myself heard when on yard duty for a couple of weeks.
