Pain in armpit, shoulder and back, lump in breast, worried

Hi

I went to doctor on Tuesday this week as for a while I've had pain in my armpit and breast as though I'd pulled a muscle then my shoulder blade started to hurt and my back. I found a large solid but not painful lump in my breast that doesn't move. I was told my doctor I'd get an appointment through within 2 weeks for referral to breast clinic, it's only been two days and I'm out of my mind with worry, I don't know how I'll be able to cope.  I've started getting a numb tingling feeling up my arm now and anxiety is so bad. Has anyone had anything similar I'm so scared xx

    I experienced similar recently in my left breast. Mine turned out to be hormone related, dense fibrous tissue. I'm 42 x

    Thank you so much for your reply. I'm 36 and they have asked me to stop taking pill for time being incase its that. Just worried as the lump is hard and doesn't move. You have calmed me down a bit thank u x

    It's such a worrying time, isn't it. I found that some of the swelling subsided literally within a day of starting a period. I just wish I knew one was coming, my health anxiety hit the roof!!! I'm going through early menopause so periods are few and far between. Even the doctor was convinced something sinister was occurring! My upper arm ached down to the elbow and the armpit was visibly swollen. The specialist at the breast clinic said that the axilla area is all part of the breast and the swelling was common x

    This has put me at ease thank u. The pain all around my breast feels worse today but its probably anxiety going through the roof. X

    Hiya I know this post is a few months old now so may not get a reply but I wondered if you had any outcome? 
     

    I am 30 and have the exact same symptoms. I been referred to the breast clinic and I am waiting for a phone call from them to book me in. I am a nervous wreck atm and have 3 children and trying to pretend I'm ok. 
     

    The pain is constant in my right breast, armpit, shoulder blade and also down my arm I'm so worried.

    Hi, I had a needle biopsy where they look inside with a sort of ultra sound thing and they weren't sure what it was so I was worried. Went back a week later and got a further biopsy. It was fibroadeoma. I still have it now as they don't remove them (or so they told me) it seems to be a very common thing. Please try not to worry as I made myself sick over it all and it's turned out to be nothing to worry about. X

    I'm hoping they will call me soon with my appointment as the waiting is the worse bit. Puts my mind at ease reading a good outcome so Thankyou! And I'm glad everything turned out ok!

    Please let us know how you get on. There is a group on Facebook for fibroadeoma and there are so many people with similar pains and lumps etc, might help. I think stress makes the lump feel bigger and the pain worse too as I feel like I'm in agony during stressful times and before period. Got everything crossed for you!!!

    Good morning! Sorry for taking so long to reply I just been a ball of anxiety for weeks now. I just thought I would let you know I have my scan this morning. I'm so scared the pain has been getting worse mainly now in my armpit and almost like a achy/burning sensation? My app is at 10.15 I have hardly slept where I'm so nervous and gave myself a dodgy belly with the anxiety of it all! I will update you later and praying it's good news.
