Worried about stomach cancer

Hi im sorry to post but I don't know where else to turn to try and put my mind at ease. I'm a 29yr old male and I've been having constant issues with my stomach for years.  it started on and off in my early 20s but now I'm constantly feeling sick everyday with next to no appetite. This has been going on for years and it always seems to mostly be after eating. I get a horrible 'full' feeling right at the top of my abdomen and frequent burping which eventually relieves the nausea. This could last from 20 mins to a couple of hours. It's also sometimes hard to pass stools. I'm losing weight and I'm already underweight due to having no appetite. I've tried PPIs that don't seem to do anything and I've had an ultrasound that came back fine. Maybe I'm just being stupid but I'm freaking out thinking it's the worst. Please if anyone has had a similar issue or any reassurance I'd appreciate it. The doctors don't seem to want to do anything else.

  • Welcome to the forum Mike although I'm sorry for the reason you're joining us.

If your symptoms are persisting or getting worse then it would be best to get back in touch with your doctor so they can investigate. I'm not sure if you've seen more than one doctor about this but if not you could try getting a second opinion from another GP. You can find out more just here.

Our members know how tough it can be when you feel like you're not being listened to or supported so I'm sure some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice..

    All the best,
