I wanted to post my story as reading all of yours on this group has helped me enormously over the past year. I found a lump under my left armpit about a year ago snd put it down to a fatty growth as I had put on some Weight. I them started to experience pain from the lump down my left arm and side of breast. The pain got worse as months went on and seemed to be unrelated to my monthly cycle. I'm 40 years old. I had to stop wearing bras  due to the pain and  currently wear a soft sports bra type. I finally after reading this forum made an oppitment with the doctor 2 weeks ago and had blood test and a referral to the breast clinic. The bloods have all come back clear and i am currently sitting in the breast clinic ofter initial examination awaiting a scan and mammogram. I will keep you all posted on the outcome. Please if you notice any changed in your breasts get them checked. I wish I hadn't waited so long. Even in current COVID situation I have been seen   And assessed in normal 2 week timescales.
