I am a lady of 57 and have had my lining of my womb removed years ago went thou menapouse over 15 years ago 

this year I have had terrific pain in my left pelvic area was sent for a ct scan and then referred for and ultrasound which then turned in to an internal ultrasound less than two days results are back and was told I will be referred to the gynaecologist in less than two weeks I have an appointment 

hiw concerned should I be what should I expect from first appointment

    I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with some health problems recently. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things and I think most of our members here will know just how worrying it can be waiting for test results. 

    It can often help to talk things through with someone and I wonder if you'd find it helpful to have a chat with one of our team of nurses ahead of your appointment. I'm sure they will be able to offer some advice and support and help you think about any questions you may want to ask the Consultant. If you'd like to speak to them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.
