Hi I'm a 56 year old male and for the last ten years I've had gastro problems and was told I had ibs so I've soldiered on until last August I started having alot of pain when having a bowel movement fast forward to Christmas I had bright red blood and now excruciating pain when having a bm had at least 2 doctors  appointments was prescribed supositries and was referred for a colonoscopy.i had the colonoscophy 4 weeks ago and all was normal but I'm still in pain I'm having small amounts of blood and thin stools and sometimes ribbon stools.Even though they are thin they are so painful and the blood is still there.im feeling so scared which for me isn't the norm nothing really ever bothers me but this has cut through me like a knife.i also have a severe itchy bottom all day every day for over 5 months nothing the doctor has given me has eased it.how can I get through this my doctor just says its a fissure or piles.im not sure thin stools is caused by piles or a fissure.going to try get an appointment which is hard being at work.i called the surgery 133 times last time before I got through.
