Breast clinic

Hi. After finding a lump in my breast and getting it checked by my gp , I've been referred to the Brest clinic this week .the letter said my Appointment may take up to 3 hours . Can anyone tell me what to expect and if I'll get a result on the day please . I'm terrified and nervous  ,I've never had any health issues in the past so haven't attended hospital appointments thanks

    Hi they will do a mammogram and ultrasound and then depending if there is something there then they usually do a biopsy. You will have to wait for results of biopsy however the consultants do sometimes have a good idea if it's good or bad  but still need the confirmation of the biopsy.

    There are lots of reason you could have a lump so try not to worry.
