First post so Hi Ross here...

Basically i'm hoping for some reasaurance or opinions on what I might have and if it is likely to be a cancerous lump or more likely to be an abcess or infection. I'm 31 non smoker.

Basically around the end of Feb I noticed a slightly swelling on the upper right hand side of my throat behind my uvula then a couple of weeks later I noticed a lump just under my right tonsil. It appeared to grow from invisible to small grape sized in around 2-3 weeks and has remained pretty much unchanged for the last month. It has a pale redish appearance and seems to be directly below my right tonsil.There's also some redness around the upper back part of my gums on the right hand side. I have no other symptoms at all which is my main concern as after googling it (i know i shouldn't) everything else appears to come with pain or other symptoms but apart from an occasional slight burning sensation there is no pain, coughing or swelling on my neck... I went to my gp about 3 weeks ago and was given 10 days of penicilin which didn't seem to make any difference and i've now been referred to an ent, currently waiting for an appointment. Any thoughts?
