Biopsy results - waiting game

Hi all. New here just wanted to post about my current and ongoing experience! I found a lump in my neck near my collarbone in February time of this year. My doctor referred me for an ultrasound. This showed that I had an enlarged lymph node and I was told to come back in 6-8 weeks for another ultrasound to see if any changes had happened. I went back and they had grown minimally so I was referred to haematology under the 2 week rule. I met my consultant and had bloods taken etc. They then said they would send me for a biopsy and schedule a follow up with my consultant in the middle of May just in case the biopsy took 2 weeks to get booked in. Luckily I had it three days later!

I had my needle core biopsy 11 days ago and was impatient to hear the results so contacted the secretary today to see if my other appointment would be brought forward as I'd had the biopsy earlier than planned. She went away to speak with the consultant for about 5 minutes and came back to say they couldn't bring it forward as the nurse practitioner is unavailable over the next few weeks (why this is relevant I have no idea!) but the consultant has said my results are "nothing to worry about" but he will discuss more on 13th May as planned.

Obviously I'm over the moon at this however I can't help but think that their version of nothing to worry about and mine may be very different! I suffer from anxiety so this whole thing has been a nightmare.

I hope the next few weeks fly by and I can forget about this whole thing! I can honestly say that my GP and the haematology and radiology department have been fantastic and so quick through this whole thing. I just hate waiting.

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?
