Hi,
I was at the breast clinic last week and spent approx 2 hours there. Initially a nurse gave me a breast exam then I had a mammogram and ultrasound. Depending on the findings of those a biopsy may follow. Often they can give you some idea of findings on the day but if a biopsy is taken then there will be a further wait for results.
I know it is a very anxious time waiting for the appointment but once there everyone was so nice I felt calm and in good hands.
Good luck for tomorrow x
Hi.
I was at the breast clinic last week too! Like Lou said, I was examined by a nurse first. I then had a mammogram (both boobs). Followed by a second one on my left boob at different angles. I then had an ultrasound - Dr carried that out. Because of what the mammogram and ultrasound picked up I then had a biopsy. I get the results of that on 5th May. I was there about 3hrs xxx
Hi, I also have a breast clinic appointment tomorrow. My letter said allow up to 3 hours. I'm hoping it's just a cyst or fibrous breast tissue and that I'll be in and out in about an hour no harm in hoping right? xx
Hello Kizzi551 and Atomicchoc,
As you both have breast clinic appointments tomorrow, I thought I would share with you this booklet from Breast Cancer Care on what to expect from your appointment which I hope you will find helpful.
I hope everything goes well for both of you tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed for you!
Best wishes,

Thank you for the link and good wishes Lucie
I was reading the information in the early hours and found it very informative, I will at least be more informed going into my appointment this morning.
Regards,
Louise.
Hello [@lucie]
Thank you for the link, it was very informative, appreciated your good wishes
unfortunately it wasn't good news at my appointment, waiting on my biopsy results to decide on the next course of action
Hi Kizzi. I am unfortunately in the same situation as you. Was told that the lump they found was very concerning and I'm now waiting for biopsy to confirm how concerning The waiting - as everyone says is hideous. Thinking of you and hoping you get positive results xx
Got a call today, I've got an appointment tomorrow to see the consultant xx hopefully will get some answers and a plan,
glad I've not had to wait too long, 3wks tomorrow since I saw the GP x
hope you're not waiting too long either
Hi
So glad you are seeing consultant tomorrow. The knowing and a plan is far far better than the limbo!
I have my results app next Wed. It can't come soon enough. Mine too will be 3 weeks from GP app.
I will be thinking of you. Here if you ever need to chat.
Sarah xx
Hello [@SlightlyBewildered]
just to update you, on Friday I was told I definitely have breast cancer in my right breast and have one affected lymph node, I'm triple negative and the tumour is 2.5cm
im due to have an MRI hopefully next week and see the oncologist on 20th May prior to starting chemo followed by surgery
feel surprisingly calm, I guess it's because there's a plan and it's treatable
hope your appointment tomorrow goes well Sarah
