identifying a lump

i have a hard, moveable lump under my jawbone. the internet says that benign lymphocytes are soft, but says cancerous lumps do not move. So i am unsure as to whether this is cause for concern. it is pea sized and when i say moveable, i mean i can bring it from underneath my jaw to the other side of the bone. it is painless and hard. i dont have a cold or anythign at the moment that might inflame my lymph nodes.

what do you think?

  • Hello BigBlueWhale and a big welcome to Cancer Chat,

Unfortunately no one here will be able to tell you what this lump might be but if you are worried about it, the best thing to do is to is to go and see a doctor. Your GP will be in the best position to tell you more about what it might be so don't hesitate to make an appointment to speak to a doctor.

    Best wishes,
