Hi, I'm completely new to this. I've always checked myself regularly in the shower and found nothing, but recently saw a video on Facebook from a woman saying you should test yourself lying down.
I've just found what feels like a big lump that feels like a loads of frozen peas all stick together. It doesn't hurt, though I have made my self sore from prodding and poking. I tried finding it when standing and it's hard to locate but once found it it's undeniably there. Lying down it feels at least 5x2cm, and lumpy like a mountain range, I'm also worried that it's not particularly mobile.
I'm horrified and scared, less for myself but more for my 10 year old son who has no cousins. I'm already thinking about who will look after him if I'm not there!!
Anyway, I've just filled in an econsult through my GPs surgery website (at 2am I know! But I'm worried I'd chicken out if I left it till morning!!) and will follow it up with a phone call tomorrow morning. From what people are saying on here it seems there is a long wait for referrals and treatment due to the current situation so I'm hoping our little area in Dorset is a faster than that!
