I'm sorry to hear about your situation and can understand why you're worried.

If your symptoms continue, perhaps it's a good idea to phone your GP and ask for an appointment. It's difficult to say if all the discomfort you're feeling and the large clot you found are the symptoms of something serious but in any case being seen by a professional will bring you peace of mind.

I've a telephone spot this afternoon at 5. Hoping I'll get some light on the situation. I'll keep you posted. 
 

pain has increased today also have mucus and floating poop not sure what that means but hopefully the dr could tell me.

Well, spoke to go who has referred me to a and e. 
 

ive chose not to attend simply through fear, the go was very concerned when talking about symptoms. 
 

I have 3 cousins and 2 aunts that all have bowel cancer, 2 of which have sadly passed. All of which were diagnosed more a less my age. 
 

ive sobbed for the last 2 days with a great fear, I really don't want to tell anyone about this also. I'm feeling helpless 

I know this is scary Kirsty but if your GP has recommended you go to A&E, you really should follow their advice.

They have made that decision for a reason and if A&E can provide you with the best medical care and attention for you and your symptoms at this time then it would be the place for you to be.

If you can, do keep in mind there's a chance this might not be connected with cancer and something else entirely. The only way to find out and get some relief and peace of mind from your symptoms is to follow your GP's advice.

I hope you're able to muster up the courage to go to A&E Kirsty. We're all rooting for you and sending our support your way.

Thanks for posting this Kirsty, I have had concerns about changes in my toilet habits including mucous and a sore spot near my anus. I've had a lump there for a few years which I've shown to a GP previously but they weren't too concerned, but over the last few weeks the new issues combined with swollen groin lymph nodes has made me quite worried. I hadn't even thought about going to A&E but it's a good piece of advice from your GP given the current restrictions.
