Nervous, found lump on breast, waiting for referral

Hi, 

I am looking advise 2 weeks ago I found a pea size lump on my left breast near my armpit. My gp put an urgent referral for the breast clinic but that's even going to take 4 weeks. I know this could be absolutely nothing but I also cant help worrying it could be something. My gp was hoping it would go away but it hasn't and I am getting slight pain. Its driving me crazy! I'm 33 week two beautiful kids. My grandmother has had breast cancer 3 times. Would j be quicker going private? Sorry for the rant. Xx

    Hi there, I was fortunate to get my clinic referral within 2 weeks and I know even that is an anxious wait. I rang a local private hospital out of interest and they could have seen me the same day but it cost just over £1,000 for initial tests. This may be helpful to you to put your mind at rest, or you could call the clinic and ask them to put you on a cancellation list.

    I didn't realise you could do that thank you I will call them tomorrow the unknown is driving me insane! If it's going to be weeks I think I will go private for my own insanity. Xx
