Hello everyone,

I hope it is okay that I'm writing here. It has been a very difficult few weeks, to say the least. Around three weeks ago, I found a lump in my breast. I got referred to a one-stop clinic, and there they confirmed the lump, sent me for an ultrasound, and eventually did a biopsy as I am over 25 years old (I'm 26, so barely got in there!). They have always mentioned that they believe it is a fibroadenoma, which was a relief... for about 3 hours. I have intense health anxiety, and I couldn't help but worry it would turn out to be something else. It didn't help that they said they would call me in 7 days and it has now been almost two weeks. Needless to say, I have spiralled out of control: my breasts became really sensitive and slightly painful, my armpits felt sore, my jawbone started hurting and I found a tiny little lymphnode there (just reading this makes me shake my head in disbelief at how I'm reacting). And then last night I started experiencing positional vertigo, which I still have today, and it is freaking me out.

And then today I received a letter! However, I am super confused and don't know if I should feel happy yet or not. Basically, it looks like a consult letter where the consultant explains what happened when I went. Then he wrote, "I am planning to write with the results." And then, at the bottom, right below his signature, it says this:

US - right 9 o/c 15x11mm U2, biopsied
Biopsy: fibroadenoma, B2
Reassured and discharged.

Is that a result, or just what they thought it was at the time of consult? It just feels weird to have it written at the bottom without explanations and I don't want to start celebrating yet.

Anyway, thank you so much for reading my insanity ramblings and for any advice you can give me. It has been a hard road for me mentally :(
