Armpit lump and painful breast.

Hi

Over the past few months I've had this lump under my right armpit, sometimes it gets bigger and it hurts a lot. Other times I can still feel it but it's not as painful.

My breasts have been very sensitive, and at times they can also be very painful. They have been leaking a clear liquid and other times cloudy coloured liquid.  I have asked family members, they have told me not to worry but I honestly can't help it. I have been on the fence about booking a doctors appointment, I don't want to sound silly or like I'm over exaggerating.

  • Hi

I would really consider booking a doctors appointment and then if its nothing to worry about at least you will know.  You must be worrying or you wouldn't be on here to chat and then you will have an answer.  I felt like I was making a big fuss about nothing and when I spoke to my GP about a lump I found a few weeks ago they couldnt have been nicer and more understanding.

Its not silly if its worrying you, you are just as important as anyone else.

I hope that you get some reassurance/advice from you GP soon.

    Good Luck

    Hi Dragonx,

A very warm welcome to our forum. I am sorry to hear about your symptoms and, like Bostongirl, I would urge you to make an appointment with your GP first thing on Monday morning. We are always advised to get any change in our breasts seen to as a matter of urgency. This is because, if any cancer is present, the sooner it is attended to, the better the outcome is likely to be. You will certainly not be wasting the doctors' time or appear silly or over exagerating.

Please let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
