Two Small Lumps Under Chin/Top of Neck

Hi,

I recently found two small lumps under the back area of my chin (just before the start of my neck) they are only visible when I lean my neck fully back and view them in a mirror. When felt they feel firm, almost like muscle but I'm not really sure what a neck tumour would feel like. However I can still feel them without tilting my head back and then they feel more like two small balls under the skin. I don't really have any other symptoms but I was having a small problem with swallowing a few weeks ago which led me to finding the lumps however that problem has since gone. Could the swallowing have caused an infection or swelling ? Or could this be something worse.

  • Hello Username6,

Welcome to our forum! I think the best thing to do really if you haven't done so already would be to talk to your doctor about these two small lumps you are concerned about. Your GP will be in the best position to tell you more about what they might be. Do talk also about your problem with swallowing and you could ask whether the two are linked.

Best of luck with your appointment I hope it goes well,

I contacted my GP and they arranged an ultrasound scan and blood test. Everything came back all clear so I'm very relieved.

    Thanks for the help
